Hahaha Jeanne! It’s so funny… when I first pitched the books, my editor wasn’t too sure about the charm of a mole either! But who wouldn’t love him? Thanks for entering, Jeanne.

While love most animals, my favorite is the raccoon. It is basically my family mascot (, my maiden name was Kuhn)

I can’t wait to see this book and I’m anxious to explore more of your work. Hope is one of my favorite things to talk about with children. Favorite woodland animal? Right now my heart is with the woodland creatures in Australia, so today I have to say the Koala.

Thanks for entering, Kat, and for reminding us of the plight in Australia. If anyone needs hope right now, it’s those living there.

I’m thrilled for you! I can’t wait to meet Little Mole and enjoy his adventures! My kayaking group “The Happy Yakkers” each have a woodland animal nick name. Eagle, Bear, Racoon, Chipmunk, Skunk, Owl, Eagle, Snail, Squirrel and Fox …so far…no Mole😉. My favorite woodland animal would be Squirrel – that’s Kathy Patterson 😁.

Oh Glenys you did it again. I love your books and all your writings. Even the curriculum which started all the writing. My favorite animal is the bear. He just lumbers along doing his thing unless something gets in the way. He is only protecting what is his.

I’m,m going to be different and pick the possum (opossum) because of their ability to fool us! We had one visit us last summer and it truly did pretend to be asleep several times. I just shared this post on Facebook.
    Blessings!!

The illustrations are awesome! This sounds like a wonderful book!
My favorite woodland creature would be raccoon, opossum, skunk, just to name a few. These 3 visit my yard daily as I live by a golf course. They like to partake of the cat food I leave out for the neighborhood kitties.

Cynthia, when we lived in England we would put cat food out and have a ‘fox watch’ at night. It was wonderful! Thanks for entering!

This is my favorite line …“Sometimes hope is hiding in the darkness . But it’s always there. You just have to find it.” What a wonderful message, I always thought the raccoon was so cute…what a special face. Now after battling them for my bird seed I am not so sure.

Thank you for your kind words Charlotte. I do think that’s true about hope…it sometimes so hard to find, but it’s always there. Good luck battling those racoons!

Thanks for the chance to enter your giveaway! 🙂 I love your work & the illustrations are lovely.
My favorite woodland creature would be birds; specifically, Eastern Bluebirds. If birds are not considered a woodland creature then, maybe bunnies would be another choice. I plan to share your blog/giveaway on FB.

My favorite woodland creature is a squirrel, hands down. I love the way they flit around and their talks are always flapping and they like to talk about what’s happening around them. I love the woods!

Congratulations, Glenys. This book will surely give hope to kids (and readers). And, the lovely illustrations enhance your beautiful message! As for favorite woodland animal, I don’t know…I live in Maine and am surrounded by nature’s beauty. Maybe the sighting of a bald eagle flying over or the doe and her twin fawns.

Mona, how wonderful that you get to see bald eagles! I live in the city and don’t see them very often. Thanks for commenting and entering. (I love your name.)

Hi Glenys…I just realized that I hadn’t commented here on your website. I think this book is just so adorable and such a learning book for children, too. I love animal stories!
My favorite woodland creature….you WILL NOT believe this…but it’s a skunk! I have always, always loved their aroma and sniff with great delight when we’re traveling along and realize one has been by! I think I even put in some extra sniffs just to make a point. LOL!
No one can believe I’m being honest! When my 11-year old grandson found out I liked skunks a few years ago, he told me he would NEVER EVER forget that!
Maybe I’ve just given you an incentive to write a future book about the lovely skunk. (But I won’t hold you to that! LOL!) 🙂
