For so many of us, Mother’s Day will be different this year. Families won’t be meeting together in their favorite restaurant to celebrate; churches won’t be handing out pretty bookmarks or potted daffodils to the moms in their congregations; there’ll be no extended family gatherings around dinner tables, and no trips out to visit Grandma.
But although much in our world is different this year, one thing remains the same- there is a universal WONDER surrounding motherhood, and an incomparable joy when we greet a new arrival in the family, whether through birth or adoption.
This is the joy and wonder that is captured through the pages of The Wonder That is You, the newly-released board book version of the popular picture book published last summer. .
It felt as if the world stood still
The day my dream came true.
And all creation paused to see
The wonder that is you.
Here’s some of my favorite illustrations from the book…

Hi Glenys! Everyone I have given one of your books to has absolutely loved and treasured them. I would give this book to my friend Samantha Bonior. Samantha became a new, first-time mother two weeks ago, during this pandemic. She is doing well, but hasn’t been able to have any family or friends come to visit or help her out. I really feel bad for her mom, who was so excited to become a grandma, but hasn’t been able to meet her grandson in person yet.
Oh, Amy! How hard for that new mom, and the grandma too! There is no one who hasn’t been affected in some way by this pandemic. Thanks for your kind words to me and for entering for that new momma.
Would love to share this book with our precious toddler grandson. Thanks for the opportunity.
You’re welcome, Deborah. Thanks for commenting and entering.
My niece just had a baby and will be celebrating her 1st mothers day—it would be the perfect gift for her!
It would indeed, Toni! Glad you entered!

Judy, you don’t know how much of an encouragement that is to me. Thank you.

Hello Glenys,
This beautiful book would be a darling gift for my sweet daughter-in-law whom gave birth to our first granddaughter on March 24th, 2020.
She is the lady holding the baby in the picture you posted on your FaceBook page, with me reading “Easter Love Letters From God” daily during Holy Week to both of our grandchildren through their frontdoor due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Oh, Rhonda, that picture made my heart melt. God bless your whole family. What a wonderful day it will be when you can hold that little one!
This is such a sweet book, posted on my Facebook!
Thank you so much Becky. Double entries for you!
