It’s here! It’s here! Today is release day for my newest picture book, Bedtime Blessings: God’s Perfect Peace. The first in a series of three, this book explores the simple but powerful notion of speaking words of blessing over our little ones before they go to sleep.
Guess what? Courtesy of Paraclete Press, I have three copies to give away! Take a peek at how the book begins, admire some of the gorgeous illustrations by Natalie Merheb and be sure to enter the giveaway…
Beginning with the following words, God’s Perfect Peace features several different woodland creatures as they are getting ready for bed…
Little One, I pray for you, as you lie down to sleep,
That you will know you’re gently held in our God’s perfect peace.
(Can we just take a moment to appreciate the little hands here! These photos are courtesy of my friend, Marcella, who homeschools her little one and who used the free downloadable activities to accompany the book in this wonderful way!)
The book closes with four different blessings that can be personalized with the child’s name and invites parents, grandparents, caregivers or children’s ministry leaders to pray any of these blessings over the children in their care…
